L4/L3 Covid 19 Skip Bin & Waste Collections
We will take practical steps as outlined in the regulations to eliminate contact between individuals, and to ensure all individuals are adhering to the safety protocols as outlined here.
Skip Ordering & Payment
When ordering a skip bin please ensure delivery instructions are clearly provided when you order a bin then stay inside during delivery. Either call, text or email. Payment is to be made online, no cash is accepted. An invoice will be sent to you.
Skip Delivery & Pickup

The Driver has been instructed to maintain a 5m distance from any personnel on site. Please respect this, and stay inside.

The driver will have their own sanitiser, gloves and wipes, which will be used prior to touching any bins. They have minimal need to touch a bin when collecting and tipping. Common touch surfaces of the vehicles will be cleaned on a set daily schedule also.

Bins are not sanitised from customer to customer. Minimise touch with bins.

Overfilled bins require a much more hands-on approach to netting bins, so a strict 'drive away' policy is in effect. As with normal expectations, don't fill bins above the lines or you will be charged a $100 No Pickup fee.

The driver will have cards available to distribute if their details are required for contacting tracing. Please request one if needed.
Commercial Rubbish/Recycling Collections

Rubbish: You touch bin lids, we touch bin 'moving handles'. Clean Island staff will not lift bin lids to avoid cross contamination.

Recycle Bins: These may be temporarily sent to landfill in order to avoid manually handling recyclables for sorting.

Cardboard Sacks: You touch cardboard, we touch cardboard sacks.

Glass: You touch the glass, we will touch the containers. Please ensure correct sorting of glass as drivers are instructed not to hand sort glass.

The Driver has been instructed to maintain a 3m distance from any personnel on site. Please respect this, and do the same.

If Someone In Your Home/Workplace Is Unwell
Please call ahead prior to delivery or scheduled pickup to warn us. There may be a delay in collection to reduce the risk of infection from recently touched surfaces.
